TORGIM 450/500 is a series of machines particularly studied in dimensions, weight. Effciency, easy operation, precision are the best operating feautures of these machines. The use of electromagnetic clutches in the head and in the apron permit to eliminate the feed inserction levers obtaining a perfect operative functionality and in such a way simplifying the operator movements. It’s the perfect machine for a lot of turning in very quick time, it assure high efficiency with big cutting depth and very precise works. It’s ok to work forged pieces and very hard material.
The head, melted in special Meehanite cast-iron, is steadily fixed on the bed and it is free from vibrations. All gears are made of Cr.Ni.Mo steel, hardened and ground and are mounted on high precision ball bearings. Two clutches and an electromagnetic brake assure the clutch, the braking and reversal motion to the spindle. The spindle is supported in three points and is mounted on precision TIMKEN ball bearings. It is provided with hole Ø 160 mm. The headstock lubrication is continuos by means of a gear pump and relative distributors, the carriage lubrication is guaranteed by an automatic motor pump.
